Trade Desk Etiquette
My fellow SimDynasty'ers...
The time has come for a short primer on "Trade Desk Etiquette"...
When a trade offer is made, it is customary that the receiver of the trade take some sort of positive action to let the offerer of the trade know that the trade has been acknowledged... This action may include:
accepting the trade
rejecting the trade
making a counter-trade-offer
sending a U2U discussing the trade
making an offer of a draft pick and using the comments section of the new trade offer to discuss the trade (did you know you can offer a trade by asking for a draft pick and offering NOTHING in return? this is a very easy way to communicate with someone for trades)
Usually, ignoring the trade is considered "bad form"... Once a trade is offered, and the League Info page shows the last login date, and a trade apparently is simply ignored for several days while the owner has checked on their team, the offerer is left with no alternative than to assume that the trade is not of interest...
I have made multiple trade offers here in the OCL-AAA, and to some owners credit they have responded very quickly... Others, I have waited for 2-3 RL days with no response...
Be kind to your dim-witted fellow owners (me) and kindly reject my trade offers if you have no interest... or accept them, or send a U2U... or SOMETHING...
THAT IS ALL ...
_______________________________________________
So, would responses like, "Get a life" or "You must be on crack!" be considered to be in poor etiquette?
Seriously, my biggest quandry is the lack of counter offers. I can understand another owner not feeling a trade offer that I propose is beneficial, but send a U2U or counter offer to discuss the trade. Newer players don't learn if the reason a trade is not viable is discussed . . . I may still disagree, but last time I checked it is ok to agree to disagree.
Just my two cents.

Another tid-bit, if an owner does not want to make a trade, do not keep offering ridiculous trades just so you can berate him in the comments section of the trade.
