Does anyone know the MVP formula.May 10, 2007 at 01:29AM View BBCode
I'm not sure about any of the formulas for All-Star, Cy Young, etc. It always seemed unusual to me. Maybe somewhere on the "Questions and Answers" message board, you may find it, or if not, post it and someone would probably know it. Anyway, your numbers on the pitchers are incorrect. Chavez' ERA for this year was 2.52, and his WHIP was 1.10. Slayback's ERA 2.85, and WHIP was 1.15. The numbers you were looking at were career totals, not this year's.May 10, 2007 at 10:46AM View BBCode
That what happens when you are in a hurry! Now I can almost see why the allstar rankings are the way they are (although in my opinion 4 more wins and 6 less losses go further than a slight edge in ERA and WHIP) but I'm still not sold on the MVP rankings. Anyway is is no big deal, I as just wondering, I'm sure we have all looked at the final allstar page and scratched our heads at some of the selections.May 10, 2007 at 07:54PM View BBCode
As strange as it would seem, AB's actually play into it - Not sure if it really should, as McCool was clearly more productive, but at this point it does.May 11, 2007 at 12:52PM View BBCode
I've seen the Cy Young not be the All Star #1 more than once. I think it has to do with wins in that particular quirk. Fireman is not always the top RP either.Pages: 1
