I need your help with this trade offer. This is a Private or Speed League

It's a reasonable offer in terms of value. The pick is a little later than you'd like when you're giving up a guy like Lange, but Raschi doesn't figure in your plans and a #3 pick isn't good for much except trade filler anyway.

In return you get a #1 draft choice, and two guys who could actually help you right now. Lavender isn't great, but he's an improvement over what you have at 1b and RF right now (Don't be fooled...Bauer is playing WAY over his ratings), and Kennedy would be your 5th starter and move to the bullpen for the post-season.

Lange is a nice young pitcher, to be sure, but your ML staff isn't old...all still in their 20's. You have the pitching depth to make this deal, and it helps you immediately and you're a playoff team. Question you have to answer: Do you want to improve your team right now and take a shot? Or are you willing to wait and see what your team looks like when Lange is ready to be a strong reliever?

Another question: Can you get a better deal to improve your team from someone else?

There are reasons to turn this deal down, but I think you have to at least give it some serious thought before you do.

not a bad deal at all. A first rounder you are getting can normally get you guys like you are giving up. Look around and see if you can get something somewhere else but if you cant, i would take it

Looks like he already made the deal. Personally, I would've shopped Lange around a bit and see if I couldn't get a higher price for him, but it was a decent trade nonetheless...
