Field of 64 Beers of the World

April 26, 2007 at 03:30PM View BBCode

OK so here's how it works. Just like the NCAA basketball tourney 4 regions (International, Big producers, East micro West Micro) Play out the first round but picking one winner from a game not yet picked to move on. Obviously not all breweries are represented. Sometimes we stretched a bit on our regions so just deal with it.

I'll start us off with the play in game and pick Coors Light over Miller Light.

Dogfish is my pick to go all the way, i can't believe Bud Light got a 14 seed and Miller Light got a play in game

They had bad seasons. Bud Lt finished 7th in conference and Miller Lt had a losing record but ended up winning the conference tourney.

I'm going to bold winners.

They didn't make the tourney Tom. One of those bubble teams that people will complain about (see above) but in the end the RPI didn't justify entry.

J.W. Dundee's Honey Brown didn't make the cut for the international division? I'll take Molson over Moosehead.

Poor Coors light is gonna get stomped in round 2 by Sam Adams.

My Final Four is Harp, Sam Adams, Brooklyn (making the committee eat its #7 seed) and Anchor Steam, with Brooklyn winning it all.

People just pick winners. Whoever gets to a match up first can pick it but people are limited on how much they can pick (trying to give enough a shot at it). So one pick per day per person.

Can't type....laughing too hard. Hold on.

Okay, I'm done. It's not Crocodile Dundee beer. It's made in Rochester.

I ran a search and discovered that it is indeed brewed in Rochester, NY. High Falls Brewery. My mistake. I still think it should have gotten consideration in the large sales division, over a few of the ones in the tourney.
