Milwaukee's #1 pick is going to be in the first half of the draft. I'd probably make this deal. You're going to finish last with Spratt. You can finish last without him.

Spratt's okay, but no superstar. You're rebuilding and he's at an age where you really have to ask yourself, Is this a guy who will still be a solid pitcher when my team is ready to contend? And if so, for how many years? One or two? If he could mentor, that would factor into his value, but he can't.Milwaukee's #1 pick is going to be in the first half of the draft. I'd probably make this deal. You're going to finish last with Spratt. You can finish last without him.
