I would probably decline this offer. The player you would be giving up is an MVP caliber player. Hopefully, his leadership when unvailed will make him your mentor for years to come. The pitcher you are offerred will not compare to the young pitchers you have in your line-up and minor leagues and therefore would not be of help to you except as trade bait. The batter is capable of plying in the majors but will never be very good. And the draft pick figures to be a middle to high 1st round pick. Plus your CP's will probably be tied up with Hurley, Max and Sandavol (one of which could be promoted if needed) and your 1st round pick so you would have to look for a ML caliber player in the draft.

I totally agree w/EJB. Except there is no "probably" about it. This is a no brainer decline, for all the reasons mentioned above. Besides, if you were to trade him, you can get a whole lot more than that!Pages: 1
