I'd turn down this trade and not even consider a counter-offer.

Seriously, I didn't think that offer was unfair or a bad starting point for negotiation...

Well, the catcher offered is just awful and the pitcher is nothing special. Why trade away someone who would be rock-solid (especially with an A+ arm and B+ health, not to mention the great hitting ratings) behind the plate for over 15 years?
If I were to trade away Dukes, I wouldnt consider an offer from WAS unless Scheetz was somewhere in the deal. And even then it would be hard to convince me.
It may just be me, but I find it very hard to trade away great young catchers. They are so hard to find.

Jim, wait for the Am draft and grab a catcher. The trade offer was not awful, but I wonder why the one team is playing a 20 year old catcher in the majors. What a total waste. Get him to the minors. If you really want the catcher offer a 1st round pick.Pages: 1
