Season wrap ups

This regular season is winding down and we've seen a couple of story lines. Chicago Cubbies appear to have managed to avoid the 120 loss mark by going 5-5 the past ten games, while the Tigres will have to pull off another big win streak if we want to get close to 112. But with our recent injuries I don't see that happening.
The Flash and Spiders have had some success rebuilding this year, while many of the middle teams have made deals with contenders to shore up their rosters for next year. It will be interesting to see if the teams on top this year will continue their success next year.
I'm confident that the Meatheads will continue their success for at least the next few years because of all the young arms they have. Meanwhile it looks like now or never for my pitching staff.
What do you guys think of your indiviual success so far this season?

i have mixed feelings on my team. we started off as the strongest team the first couple of weeks but them we totally fell off. pitching staff until late was a disappointment, excluding johnny jones. but as i said they have come around of late. late injuries to two of my hitters cancelled any chance of hanging around. and even johnny jones has been beat up lately. hopefully some of my young arms can come around for next year, this league sure does need some good young pitching.

I wish I could say that we will contend next year but truthfully our short term goal will be to escape the cellar and perhaps move up a position or two. Our strong points are that our offense shhould be much improved with Combs, Wear, Granger & Molitor leading the way. Our pitching is still suspect with Batchelder, Hoskins being the only two starters returning with near 200 innings pitched. Drake, Tennant, and Score have pitched well at times but all are erratic. Our pen should be improved with Myatt & Houtteman handling the setup & closers role reasonably well. With a team ERA of over 7 there is no place to go but up. Truthfully I am glad that this year of inflated ERA's and double figure scoring will end and that next season we will see better pitching and a little less offense. At any rate we are on board for a least a couple more seasons and we are looking forward to more enjoyment. I really enjoy interacting with all of you and wish us all success.:D

I'm pleasantly surprised with how well my team has done this season. I expected to finished 3rd in the NL. I have a young team and did not expect to contend for a couple seasons. There is plenty of competition out there, so I'm not taking the future for granted.
