Now I'm not going to sit here and say that Middletown is the second coming of sliced bread but he's a solid pitcher right now and should evolve into a B/A+ type of pitcher who can throw for 13 seasons or so. He may not be a CY canidate but he's certainly better than what's being offered here. I would say he's got four young starters of his own (Porter, Rogers, Segui, Lemon) and somebody's getting bumped from the rotation, I'd want one of them back in return but would probably have to expand the deal to make it happen.

Well here's what you're getting Boak-a back up outfielder at best. Irelan-a decent back up infielder Meacham, an OK pitching prospect. He's B/B- at age 24 so has some improving still left to do. He can reach A-/B+ if the cards fall right although he's on the low side of one of his ratings (otherswise he'd be B overall instead of B-). Baldwin a stop gap filler in the bullpen at best during his career. well, he could probably reach A-/B- with ease but you've got plenty of that type or better pitcher in your pen already you don't need another.Now I'm not going to sit here and say that Middletown is the second coming of sliced bread but he's a solid pitcher right now and should evolve into a B/A+ type of pitcher who can throw for 13 seasons or so.
