Trade advice in the Roger Clemens League

I need your help with this trade offer. This is a Private or Speed League

Yeah you've got a stud pitcher there no doubt but in this deal you get back another solid starter who becomes your new number 1 guy (age similar) and an allstar caliber outfielder plus the 16th or so pick in the draft. Its a fair trade but here's the question. Where is your team going? You're currently a .500 club, are you going to make a move to compete or make a move to rebuild because staying where you are does you no good. If you're going to make the move to rebuild then this trade doesn't help you because you want young studs not guys in their late twenties. If you're going to move up and compete then you want the top pitcher so again the trade doesn't help you and it certainly won't push you over the top. If it was a deal that would move you from third to second or so I'd be for it but this one moves you from a .500 team to a .520 team. I'd decline at the moment.
