Great 3-way race here in the AL. Looks like Washington and Cleveland have finally caught up with the Tigers

I just don't think I will be able to replace the aging core of Dye, Bauer, and Benedict too easily. Not to mention my whole OF from the glory days will soon be riding off into the sunset and Graham seems to be detiorating before my very eyes this year at age 34.

Yes, for sure. I have tried to rebuild a little (Bolden, Pujols, Blaylock, Foxx)while still being competetive but it looks like the end of a nice decade-long run will soon be here - if not this year then probably next...I just don't think I will be able to replace the aging core of Dye, Bauer, and Benedict too easily. You've had a tremendous run- Detroit(6 consecutive 1st place finishes and 8 consecutive seasons in playoffs). We would be foolish, though, to consider it over. Looking forward to an interesting last 2 months of the season to see which 2 teams advance to the playoffs.Pages: 1
