;) The Cleveland Spiders and Boston Haymakers concluded a major deal today. ;). Boston received dependable starting pitcher Dave Hoskins 8-11, who has won his last two starts and at 26 will give years of good service to the Haymakers and power hitting first baseman Cliff Reilley hitting .239, but with 11 homers and 37 rbis. Reilley is only 24 yearsof age. These two players will go a long way in assisting the Haymakers in their bitter three way battle for the top spot in the AL with Detroit & Baltimore. In return the Spides received young minor league phenom first sacker Ronnie Wear, only 22 ,and ready to play in the bigs on a daily basis. We have coveted Ronnie for quite a while and with Boston locked in a pennant race they were not going to bench an established star to bring him up and give him playing time. He will be our first baseman on a daily basis for the forseeable future said Mgr. Luvvy Twobunt. Young Oral Stelmezak will be called up to take Hoskins place in the rotation said Twobunt.
