I think its a good deal for the D-backs. Adding Davis to go with Webb and Livan gives them a legitimate pitching staff now.November 26, 2006 at 03:57AM View BBCode
Pretty good news for the Brewers since Davis was going to get more then we wanted to pay. Our catchers have been a Black Hole in the line-up for years so maybe we can get some prodution there. I hope Krynzel gets a chance in Arizona he seemed like he could be a solid player with enough PT.November 27, 2006 at 05:06AM View BBCode

I know it's lame, but when I read that headline, the first thing that came to mind was this picture:November 28, 2006 at 01:49PM View BBCode
if the Giants get Manny and re-sign Schmidt, then they're the favorites. Arizona is still a few players and a couple years away.November 30, 2006 at 08:31AM View BBCode
Looks like the Crew brought Counsel back today so when the youngsters get hurt we have a huge bat to fill in.November 30, 2006 at 05:37PM View BBCode
thats ironical...the old guy is going to fill in for the youngsters when they get hurt...November 30, 2006 at 07:09PM View BBCode

You know when Estrada was in the Braves farm system he was regarded as the #3 catcher prospect in the organization. the other two are McCann who starts for the Braves now, and Saltamachia<spelling is bad> who hasnt dont anything.December 01, 2006 at 08:16PM View BBCode
Estrada was a minor leaguer for the braves for one season-at age 27 (a little old but many catchers develop later). at the time jarrod saltalamacchia was an 18 year old catcher who played 46 games in rookie league ball batting a robust .239. McCann was a 19 year old A ball player who played well for Rome in the South Atlantic League. Both may have been highly regarded for their age and position but there are tons of A ball and Rookie ball players who never progress and to claim that Estrada was considered number three behind either, much less both, is a little over the top there scaff.December 02, 2006 at 05:32AM View BBCode
yes, but he was aged by then, and when McCann came up and performed you see how fast they dealt him..Pages: 1
