Bob Knight love tap

November 14, 2006 at 04:20PM View BBCode

You can see the video on ESPN's website.

I know few will agree with me--the reaction of most sports fans seems to be backlash against Knight's critics for oversensitivity--but I am amazed that kids will go play for that guy.

Striking a kid the way he did--even if it didn't cause any physical pain at all--is a classic sign of weakness. Good coaches don't need to do that to get a player's attention.

Knight hasn't won a national title in 20 years, and he's the loosest cannon in coaching at any level. He consistently shows no respect for his players, the media, and university administrators. I love his offensive system, but I think it's time for him to hang it up.

good idea, 10 wins from becomming the winningest Mens basketball coach ever, passing Rupp and Smith, yup sounds like time to hang it up to me too.

so the guy has problems, he is still a good coach, and as long as he get sthe players, he will probably keep coaching, in 5 years Pat will take over the weekly beatings.
