The Great trade between Milwaukee and Cleveland

October 13, 2006 at 12:18PM View BBCode

Look at the trade before you cry about it. I traded the #10 rated SP and the #25 rated RP and received the #7 rated RP.

If any of you knew how to construct a trade you'd realize that there is cost, risk and need involved.

I also had to bring up a minor leaguer to SP a point that all of you fail to point out. Get it together and stop crying.

COMPTON has been trying to obtain Luvullo all season and he failed miserably. Too bad.

There is no point to your logic. The only person I see coming out strong is the team with the two better letters!!:spin:

I'm still surprised the moderators have not inquired.:puzzled:

You need to link to the trade, which is not difficult. They may have already inquired and found it to be COMPLETELY LEGIT. You ladies need to calm down for real. He proposed the trade, and I accepted. You might not like it, but at some point the whining should stop. Especially for the NL teams who probably benefit.

No hard feelings kids. He did get (in my opinion) the best reliever in the league. My new closer has blown two games already

No one is whining, just trying to avoid future lopsided trades. I don't think it's fair to the people who try and really compete!:P:cool:

It's not possible to avoid all lopsided trades. In another league a guy recently offered to trade me an A- 1b for a backup B- outfielder who had hit well in like 20 AB's. Was I supposed to turn him down? I often offer trades that I think are a complete rip-off, hoping that some boob will go for it. Sometimes I will make trades that seem lopsided against me, because I want a certain piece for a playoff team.

What we should be trying to avoid is trades that are against the rules, trades where one guy has gotten control of two teams and is gutting one team to help the other one. I've seen it happen and the mods were all over it. I've also seen trades that I thought were against the rules, and when I linked to them, it just turned out that one player was just getting a great deal.

Link to the trade. Otherwise it is just whining.

That isn't a trade I would make give me a break.
