Don't do it. It's just not worth it for a guy who will have an ERA consistently over 5.

I would not do this deal. Hawksworth is too old to be a materially helpful B-/B pitcher for a solid hitter like Balaz.

I think it's a pretty decent deal, Hawksworth is improving OK and if put in the rotation probably has a chance to be a solid #4 - it also lets you put Plank back in the minors with 5CPs (why you have 5 CPs on a 26 year old OF confounds me, also 5 CPs on Hope seems a bit of a waste).

As for Balaz, he's a nice enough hitter but is easily replaced by Scutaro.

I'd do the deal.
