there are two reasons he wants mcgilbery, those big red A's. he will hit plenty home runs for your team over the course of his career, and you won't have to spend a pick on a catcher for a long time, you can draft pitchers, which is what you need. you have a catcher.
i would try to trade for a prospect for the points, btw, and promote mcgilbery, he is good enough to play. you don't need that mentor catcher, he has nobody to mentor.
