Varied Schedules and Speeding Through the 1954 Season

I'm going to ramp up the games so that 1954 is finished in the next day or 2. The reason being that jzirker is helping me with developing a more varied schedule, and we want to have it ready before the Robinson League hits 2031. I'm going to take his 2031 schedule and set it up on Beta for 1955.Until the season is over, we will play games every ten minutes from 11AM to 10PM.

Going forward, we will play 18 games per day so we can stay ahead of the Jackie Robinson league. Games will start at 4 or 5 in the morning, and play til 10 or 11 at night.

I'll let jzirker explain it - basically the matchups will change from year to year, and the offdays are spread out a bit better.

The scheduling appears to have shifted some of the off days by a series but other than that is idential Is this the way its supposed to be?

Teams should play different teams for the same weekends. The first season might be the same as the old order, I'm not sure. Does it look the same?

I've spread out off days throughout the season.
Starting in 1956, your order of opponents should be different.

The order of who plays who for 1955 should look like any other SD season. In the old schedule, some teams played ONLY 3 game series, others played some 9 game series. And every team played straight through from September through to the end of the season.I've spread out off days throughout the season.
Starting in 1956, your order of opponents should be different.

Ok, I have everything thru 1963 loaded up. Season will resume tomorrow.

I went to see how things turned out, and the last game played for Cincy is 3:48 Eastern time -- same as it was before my monkeying. From the standings, it appears that one Game 12 has been played, whilst the 14 other teams have played 11.
Sure hope I didn't crash the beta site.

Schedule seems to be running along fine at this point. Nice to have it a little more randomized I think.

Yeah, so far its been like grading out offensive linemen in football. If you don't hear anyone talking about it, it must be doing its job :)Tyson
