Shit. Here's to hoping he gets well. And that when he does, he no longer has to do those embarassing ESPN Mobile commercials.

He's only 61! He looks 95.

He must have been living the John Daly lifestlye when he was young. Except with some coke, which would explain the weight differential

Get well Peter!

Damn. I hope everything works out okay and he gets well. He's one of the best guys on ESPN, and this type of thing is real sudden, so I was pretty shocked by the news. And I second the ESPN mobile thing..

I hate to be crass, but Dick Vitale's going to join him tomorrow when Redick slides into the twenties.

Here's to a full recovery.

no doubt about that. .

but if Trajan Langdon can go 13 (or whatever he did) - Redick can go in the top 10. .

He went 11th....Jesus. Was it only 7 short years ago that NBA teams were suckered by one-dimensional shooters who weren't quick enough to actually get off their shot? Taken after him in that draft: Corey Magette, Ron Artest, Andrei Kirilenko and Manu Ginobili.

Redick will be lucky to sneak into the top 20.

Actually, his name has been mentioned with Seattle at No. 10. If it comes to pass, you will hear me from afar, tittering with glee.

He apparently has a herniated disk, too. Is Redick telling ESPN this for an excuse as why he'll drop?

According to wikipedia, one of the songs Pete covers on his upcoming CD is "Death or Glory". Now, from a purely objective standpoint, some of the choices on this list are questionable (although it should be said, none of them are flat-out terrible, even objectively). But of course Peter is 61 and a legendary baseball writer. So points can only really be added to his ledger for music - nothing can be taken away if he professes his love of John Mayer.
