Today the new ownership of the Baltimore baseball franchise was introduced at a press conference in Cherry Hill Park.
Mayor Martin O'Malley began the ceremonies by officially introducing the new ownership group headed by majority owner and multi-millionaire entrepreneur Randall Whitt who will also be taking over as the head of operations and General Manager.
Whitt, who is a Cincinnati native, expressed his delight with the overwhelming welcome the city has bestowed upon him and the entire ownership group. ? The city of Baltimore has welcomed our entire ownership group with open arms and we are proud to be a part of ?The City of Firsts?. ?This ownership group is dedicated to winning and bringing back a championship way of playing the great American pastime?. Whitt went on to point out that Baltimore has not had a champion in the BHL since the leagues inception and he wants his team to win now! ?We will do whatever it takes to secure a champion caliber baseball team and return the Baltimore franchise to the greatness that was its founders dream?.
Whitt then presented the new manager of the Baltimore franchise as long time Baltimore great Eubie Blake. Eubie is best known for his musical skills but Whitt assured the gathering crowd that Eubie was his man. Blake addressed the crowd for a brief time guaranteeing that he will have his boys playing better than they ever had. ? I really like the chemistry of this team? said Blake as he spoke on the veteran make up of his pitching staff and starting 8.
The new Baltimore franchise has taken the nickname ?Anihill8er? which is the nickname of majority owner Randall Whitt. Whitt was given the name during his high school years by his wrestling coach who proclaimed Whitt as the ?Annihilator?. Whitt went on to change the spelling of his own nick for personal reasons.
The team will take over play in the Francis Scott Key stadium at Fort McHenry. Whitt promised to bring many improvements the 10-year-old stadium during their first season and into the off-season. ? We will be upgrading the scoreboard to a state of the art board with sound and video?. ? We will be looking into the feasibility of 10 new luxury boxes and upgrading the current 4 we have?. ? We will have an escalator installed for our fans to reach the second deck of the stadium?.

Welcome Baltomore like the story / Project your team 4th in the AL / You have some awesome pitching that will surely attract attention. If you could add a little offense here and there without losing the pitching you could sneak intop a playoff spot in next 2 or 3 years Good luck.
