draft pick trade

that last trade between chicago and new york makes absolutely no sense to me. chicago (in last place) trades away the #2 overall pick this year for a 37 year old pitcher. i thought that maybe chicago has no cps to use on any draftees, but of all of the 6 minor leaguers that he has points on, only 1 is under 28 years old! just makes no sense.

giving up his 1st pick it's paying a lot for a 37 years old player. I have already pay way too much for 1B Tollberg but even so it's nowhere as crazy as this new trade.i'm willing to trade my two oldest players Doerr and Mentor for far less than that
