Blue Streak?!?! You think that gives you a sophisticated sense of humor?

Good god, that's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Martin Lawrence is a bust, yo.

Steve Zahn = funny.
Martin Lawrence = funny lookin'.

Skier, how do you know I dont work? For starters I paint my moms apartment buildings she rents for six dollars an hour. I have been painting there for at least 15-20 times within the past 3 months so thats pretty regular. I am also applying for a job at shoprite. In the summer I work at my Step-Grandfathers farm, throwing hay bales, cleaning out barns, and pulling rocks out of fields for 5 dollars an hour. I just became old enough to apply for a real job in April and went the summer without an official job but am looking into to one for the school year..I am currently applying to Shop Rite and also checking with Subway, walmart, and other local places near where I live.

Dang $500 of birthday money and stuff, I work and take a while to make that, but anyway I think Martin Lawerence is pretty funny.

i am lucky to get $150 for birthday/christmas, though thats how i get my jerseys. i make around $600 referring basketball in the winter and spring, but i only end up with $300 cause my parents make me save half.

anyways there are a lot of movies that are worth going to once in theatres cause they are entertaining even though they dont have any real content. blue streak is one of those countless many.

If I paid money to see Blue Streak, I'd have been demanding it back. I see movies at press screenings for free, but I still felt ripped off after seeing that piece o'crap.

ok schef i didnt count working for ur mom cuz i thought of that as allowance. i got the idea that u didnt work when u moved to ur new house and ur mom asked if u wanted to get a job at that camp up the street. hollywood i didnt say that bluestreak wuz sophisticated humor i just said it wuz funny. so sue me that i like martin lawrence. or dave chapelle. i liked bad boys to so i guess that makes will smith a horrible actor too. blue streak isnt my favorite movie. my favorite movie is the godfather. my favorite actors r al pacino and robert deniro. i just said martin lawrence wuz funny. u said u liked punch drunk love. how is adam sandler any different than martin lawrence?

i agree with skierdude here movies don't have to be sophisticated to be worth watching, you just ahve to realize that you are watching the movie for the funny parts and the action sequences and not for the plot.

yea that is why we have different kinds of movies. we have comedys that yea they dont have a great plot but have good action sequences and funny moments. we have psycological thrillers that make u think. we have horror movies to scare u. we have dramas and sophisticated humor also. i kno i am not along in liking monty python and the holy grail and if i am wrong in believing that please tell me. that movie has no real plot but it is extremely funny.

Holy Grail is funny....I'm still partisan to Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life. The Flying Circus shows are the best though.

And yes, Will Smith is a terrible actor.

Wild Wild West earns him a warm spot in hell.

I love melon, bananas and chocolate... that doesn't mean they're all fruit.

Python is clever stuff, but Bad Boys and Blue Streak.. they're just TV with a really big screen. Time-fillers. Product.

And to answer your earlier question, again, yes, Adam Sandler was in Punch Drunk Love, but it was very much not an 'Adam Sandler movie'. Just the same as Anger Management wasn't a 'Jack Nicholson movie.'

Raising Arizona = funny and clever.
Punch Drunk Love = funny and clever.

Anything done by Will Smith (except Enemy of the State) = awful.

I just saw Matchstick Men in the theaters with Nicholaus Cage...It really wasn't a comedy but it had some funny spots. I was really good though.

If you want to see a funny movie, go see Cabin Fever. Hilarious.

my friend just bought meaning of life, and we are watching 10-20 minutes after school every day, and that movie RULES. ive only seen about the first half hour, and it was great, if anyone hasnt seen it, these old accountants throw their bosses out of the building, and then created swords, and drive their building around like it is a pirate ship, and then they start looting all the other buildings. it was great. that movie is already funnier than "and now for something completely different", so now the best movies ever are: Donnie Darko, Meaning of life, and wrongfully accused.

Funniest movie: Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Best: Adaptation, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest (but the book is better)

one flew over, that was pretty good, we know the woman who played nurse ratchett. she is like the wife of my dads great uncles cousin or something. it is actually a closer connection than you think because my dad doesnt have like any family, so he actually talks to his not as closly related family more often (he has no brothers or sisters, 2 cousins, both parents are dead, i think 1 uncle, and 1 great uncle, so for people closley related it is 4 or something) Matrix was great, forgot to say that movie.
