Okay, I have an idea on how to get around the Mac issue. If it works I'll open up the firewall.

After a couple of false starts, the Mac issue appears to be solved. In addition, Advance to Inning and Cancel/Show Box Score (what used to be called Show All) is much faster. Once Tyson makes an interface for it, you can select between full DynastyVision, a "lite" DynastyVision that loads half as many images (for dial-up users), or disable DynastyVision entirely so you always go straight to the box score.

What I need to do now before it's ready is:

- Hit and error counts on line score
- Change stats to those decided on in the stats thread
- Proper batting order detection (to activate the Due Up section)
- Substitutions
- Live stats/stats for today's game
- Basic color commentary (more can be added later)
- Ball/strike simulation (may not make it into this version, low priority)
- Solve the play-by-play scroll problem in Netscape

And that, I believe, is it.

Okay, I just sent a version to Tyson that includes the following fixes/updates:

- Hit and error counts now shown on line score
- Due Up section now operational
- Substitutions properly appear on the field and in the lineup
- A workaround has been installed for the scroll problem in Netscape 6. Instead of showing the whole game, it now shows only the last 5 lines. Far from ideal, I know. I've also set this up for IE 5 on the Mac. If any other platforms/browsers fail to autoscroll the window or blank it out, I can add those in.

The remaining items can be added later as enhancements, so we can hopefully put this version in place for the regular site if it betas okay. (Until the enhancements are added, the Color and Count buttons will do nothing useful.)

There's a bug in Netscape 6.2 where if you swap images around a lot, eventually some of the images will disappear. There's NOTHING I can do about this. When Tyson makes the "lite" version available, that'll be the best solution for those suffering from this problem.

One thing to test is links. All the player names and images on the display (except in the play-by-play window) should link to their player cards. The team names on the line score link to that team's depth chart. The league names on the out-of-town scoreboards link to the game they represent. The inning numbers on the line score fast-forward to that inning.

Not a real big deal, but the player figures are mis-aligned on the diamong -- they're all a little to the right of the positions they should be in, including the baserunners. sorry if this has been pointed out already.

You need to dump your browser cache. Once you do, things will line up properly.
