Sigh, yeah, why the heck did they start Wright instead of Small? W/e but as you can see, if Small would have started, we would have won 4-0 probably, but instead the Yankees are probabyl gonna be tied for the division, this is one exciting race! Oh also this time it was more than 2 games in a row, : )

Because Wright, even though overpaid and overrated, is still better than Small.

Wright is supposed to better than Small... but he isnt't. Small is 9 and 0, wright is doing badly and has been injured most of the year, whats ur logic on Wright being better than Small?

Jaret wright is 5 and 3 with a 5.61 ERA 32 Ks, 26 walks, and a 1.65 whip.

Aaron Small is 9 and 0 with a 3.59 ERA 30 Ks, 19 walks, and a 1.31 whip.

Neither of them are very impressive but Aaron Small is definitely better.

since when is 9-0, 3.59 not very impressive? He's only let up 3 HRs in 62.2 IP, too. His WHIP isn't great, but it's not really below average, and a .265 BAA is pretty solid, too. I'm not sure about whether or not he's a better pitcher than Wright, but so far this year, it's no contest.

When you have 30 Ks and 19 BBs in 62.7 innings (less than 4.5K/9 and almost 3 BB/9). To his credit, he hasn't allowed any unearned runs this year. Small has better numbers this year but Wright has a better track record. It's not an obvious decision to start Wright, but it's not stupid.

Ok, point taken, but I still say that the way Small has been pitching this year you ride him while hes doing well.
