There are certainly plenty of situations that make you scratch your head and go "really?", but it is a simulation. Anything can happen in a small sample size. 90% of the time the results over an extended period of time are going be what is expected to happen. You don't really remember the 90%, but you can't help but remember the 10%. Why? Because it is unusual.July 09, 2015 at 05:48AM View BBCode

Facial Recognition:
Ruggs, test it out yourself. Change the faces on each of your players each and every game. Record their stats for each game. Do that methodically for a year real-time and keep good track of your data. Then get back to us. You'll be surprised what you find.
Lucky 7/Unlucky 13:
Also, do the "Lucky 7" and "Unlucky 13" study... it requires meticulous record-keeping but study the stats of players drafted 7th overall and 13th overall. It yields some very interesting stuff. Study it for a year and you'll see.

This is fantastic. Really, the reason why it seems like those teams lose in the playoffs more often than in MLB (Or any of that kind of stuff) is because the SimD sample size is infinitely larger, so it happens more times, and of course we remember the times ABE "screwed" us over.July 09, 2015 at 12:24PM View BBCode

I'm calling my next team the Freemasons just to be on the safe side.
