That interview was... odd.

Which one? Cutler? I have the thing on mute. Anything compelling?

He looked like a prick sitting with mom in the green room.

Haloti Ngata kicked ass when you imported him from NCAA 2006 to Madden..

They kept talking over each other because Cutler's ear thing apparently wasn't working, then when it finally got fixed she asked some dumb questions about his Vandy teamates and he actually made the third grade "they did the best they could" comment.

I am still shocked - shocked! - that the Lions didn't take a wide receiver

What happened to DeAngelo Williams' draft status? At one point people talked about him possibly going to the Jets, but now it looks like he's a late teens to early 20's pick.

I've seen him falling as low as the Colts.

He'll be a steal

I wonder where Deangelo Williams will end up? I'm guessing someone trades up to get him.

Still rooting for Lendale to end up with the Steelers!

Carolina was really lucky that Deangelo Williams was available when their pick came around. He has amazing talent, and put up incredible numbers in college (Even if it was against the C-USA).

Just out of curiousity, who's the last QB to have NFL success while playing college ball in the Big 12/Big 8?

Vince Ferragamo?

Chris Simms?

Didn't Coy Detmer play at Colorado?

Record isn't good.

According to TSN, Billick still believes Boller can be a winning QB in the NFL. That's what happens to your brain when you win a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer.

Jason White....Eric Crouch

Just for the record I believe it's spelled he spells his name Koy Detmer

Jason White and Eric Crouch never were considered to be prospects at quarterback. The only one who really was considered to have a chance at being decent recently has been Simms, who was drafted in the third round and started some for Tampa last year but isn't particularly good.

Re: Ngata

Stupid, stupid NFL teams. They spend hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of dollars on scouts, player visits, workouts, interviews, and other tools to evaluate talent. And all they really need to do is invest in an Xbox, Madden 2006, import those college guys in and see how they do. What morons they are to keep spending money on player evaluation.

Re: Big 12 QBs

According to NFL.com, here are former Big 12 QB's currently under contract with NFL teams:

Major Applewhite, Texas, New England Patriots
Koy Detmer, Colorado, Philadelphia Eagles
Marc Dunn, Kansas State, Kansas City Chiefs
Sage Rosenfels, Iowa State, Houston Texans
Chris Simms, Texas, Tampa Bay Bucs
B.J. Symons, Texas Tech, Chicago Bears
Seneca Wallace, Iowa State, Seattle Seahawks
Bill Whittemore, Kansas, New York Jets

That's all of them. Simms might be a starter. Detmer has been a credible backup in the league. The rest are practice squad or emergency third guys who will never throw anything except a clipboard in the NFL.

Of course. But it was a playstation 2. That would obviously make an unbelievable difference.

The Lions have been using this method for years now, which has led to them taking 3 straight receivers and now Ernie Sims. Good ole Matt is always ahead of the curve on these things..
