You tried to trade those guys for what a whole half day? And no I will not leave this alone until you are gone. Selfishness is only protecting ones interest. That is you!! I am trying to protect this league. You have no respect for the time and effort, not to mention the money, that others have invested in their teams. You have no respect for the rules. You are an arrogant, ignorant, selfless, prick that needs to just go away.

NOW NOW NOW - We must not use big words like "prick". Listen you idiot I have been watching (coaching - semi-pro) baseball since 1956 - long before you were even thought of - I watched the Dodgers when they were still in Brooklyn. So look you little dips----- backoff and M I N D your O W N business. Maybe-just maybe the reason your teams have been successful is that possible you quitely take advantage of new owners in trades?

Note of interest - Since I started to remake the team - My BA has gone down 9 points - My fielding has gone down 1 point but my pitching has gone from a 5.35 era to a 5.19 era - I guess not to bad for rebuilding----------

Personally I don't give a rats ass if you are Babe Ruth. The rules apply to everyone. I have not seen a waiver given your team. You were given a second chance for f-ing up. You arrogantly told everyone to piss off when they legitimately wanted to know what was up. You arrogantly continue to break the rules. As an old timer you should understand the importance of rules in baseball. If not then you are the tard I expect you to be. Time to pat teh reaper.

Things have gotten pretty heated so I think we all need a big time out. Especially while I put in my 2 cents.

To be up front and honest, I too am pretty peeved at the actions of Balt/Rickkk. No doubt we are all free to run our teams as we see fit, but within reason. There's no way to verify what all trade offers were sent out and rejected. Only Rickkk and the teams involved would know. But many of the completed trades showed little value returned to Balt. either in equal value or future prospects. Plus that fact that some of the players aquired by Balt. were subsequently released?
That doesn't make much sense. And if true that the players released weren't accepted in trades, doesn't mean that they wouldn't make a difference in Waiver transactions.

And to be honest, I do have a claim on a couple of these now. But I would gladly rescind these claims/reverse them if need be depending on how things are resolved.

But the whole concept of wholesale "dumping" just to gain higher draft picks is just not right. If you have been involved in baseball since 1956, then you wouldn't just jettison your older established star players, unless you had top young talent to take over. I just don't see that here. I always put the best team on the feild, until it's clear that I have no chance. Then I might put a few development guys into the lineups to gain IC's. But I still keep the veterans around. Unless I can get some decent return on them.

I hope we can resolve the situation before it gets even worse. I may even be too late to reverse all that has transpired.

Well that's my rant.

alpha hotel crawl back into the cave that you pull your stupid censored -eyed mind out off and again worry about you self I don't need a dumb little terpt like you disecting my moves - whats the matter you haven't been able to push me around as a new owner - this isn't the mel ott league its the radical muslin league where you must do as your told or off with your head - end of this communications. If you have a problem you can talk to admin on mon day - if i'm removed so be it at least I won't have to put up with a little kiddy such as you anymore.

I also agree with one of the older posts regarding the Balt. lineup that started the season. No guarantees but if the lineup from last season was intact the Birds would surely be a close contender.

This is ridiculous, Baltimore your team sucks and the players on it will never amount to anything. You have ONE young pitcher who will be good, and you dumped all your mentors so the crappy ones have no chance of becoming good.

And once again how does waiving your most recent number one draft pick helping you rebuild?

Your stupid replies and namecalling are getting ridiculous and I would support kicking you out of the league for them alone.

And this isnt a league you have to do as your told, if you look at this trade Baltimore was looking to rebuild and traded me a lot of very good older players for a few of my better younger players. You had the talent to make trades similar to this, to trade a few old players to a contending team for players with a future. At the very least Im sure you could get second round picks for some of your older players

4/4/1954

A trade has been completed between the Detroit Lions and the Baltimore Lords of Maryland. The Baltimore Lords of Maryland receive Pete Morlan, Royce Blankenship, Ike Godwin, Andy Penn, Draft Pick - 1955 Round 1 (BAL), Draft Pick - 1955 Round 1 (DET) from the Detroit Lions in exchange for Luis Stephen, Robert Taft, Bob Niehaus, Gerry Brenegan, Jorge Alomar, Geraldo Todd, Hank Boardman, Johnson Tomer.

I am not going to apologize for standing up to a pos like you. Bullies don't like it when someone stands up to them. If you think you can just waltz into this league and do what ever you like then you are sadly wrong with me my friend.

:spin: let me guess you turn into a democratic werewolf when you stay up past 11pm. Junior I was flying helicopter on rescue missions in Vietnam - I have served my country - you a boring democrat who if you'd been alive during the Nam war would probably have been a protester helping the enemy kill more US kids.

I respect your service to our country. I was young during that war. Most of my memories are from TV and sending care packages to my uncle who was in the Corps. I am from a military family from both sides. I turned down an Academy scholarship and served as a grunt. I was fortunate that in my time of service we were at peace. So never question my love of country. But that has no bearing on what is transpiring. The facts are that you are breaking rules and unfairly changing the balance of the league. You have not earned the right to do this and I will not allow it to happen without a fight.

As a moderator elsewhere in SD, I have rightly been told that my posts need always bear in mind that I am, in essence, a representative of Sim Dynasty. That said, it is a site-wide rule that personal attacks will subject you guys to losing your teams so please stop the personal attacks immediately. Debate the Baltimore moves on a baseball level as much as you want to but do not let your posts further devolve into character attacks, name calling, or political debates on a league board.

On the subject of Baltimore's rebuild, I have taken over several poor teams in SD, including the Bangers in this league. Rebuilding is a very difficult and time consuming task. It won't happen overnight. If Baltimore's concept is to get younger and healthier, in the long run, that is a good plan of attack. That said, waiving players as highly rated as Baltimore's is neither good for their own team or the league. The owners in this league, like most, are a bit youth obsessed and generally, it requires a lot of time and patience to get close to value for quality vets in the over 30 age group. Making an attempt or two to trade these guys and then waiving them in frustration, however, is not the answer. All this signals to the other owners is "When I can't deal older highly rated vets after one or two tries, I'll let them go." With that message in mind, other owners will not take that team's trade offers seriously and will just wait for a shot to get valuable players for free.

As a rebuilding owner in a new league, you have to be willing to say, "I'd rather take these valuable vets to the grave than give them away for free" because otherwise, people won't take your offers seriously. The guys like Culver and the host of very high quality pitchers previously waived, in packages or in combination, may or may not net you a 1st rounder from a contender or some good young prospects but they most assuredly, dealt off in bits and pieces, should get 2nd rounders which can often be developed. Giving these guys away through waivers though, will only serve to get you closer to tanking for a first rounder, a strategy that, by itself, will never get you where you need to be. Even if you draft first in the ammy draft every year, you won't get enough volume to get to the top. Those role playing youngsters and other 1st and 2nd rounders that you get from patiently dealing older studs (and when crunch time comes in August and injuries hit, there will be interest) are necessary to get the team into the playoffs.

Bottom line, Baltimore has waived solid older players that should net him some picks or prospects. I can see why Tyson reversed the army of pitching waivers because those guys are definitely tradeable but you really cannot legislate patience or even smart moves. I know you guys are calling for Rickkks' head and that call is for Tyson to make, not yours or mine. If you feel that Rickkk is violating the rules of fair play, report it again and let Tyson do his job.

If Tyson decides that Rickkk should go, I guess this conversation is moot.

It is a rare league that has twelve owners we all love and get along with. If Tyson decides that Rickkk can stay, the other owners need to work (1) with Rickkk as a fellow owner; (2) work independently of Rickkk's team until he has no one of value left to waive or, (3) unfortunately, if Rickkk's presence makes you that unhappy, move on to another league.

Please watch the personal attacks guys, we don't tolerate those here. This is your warning.

Rickkk - I asked you not to waive these players, to trade them for something. You ignored me. Sorry, I can't have you in this league. It's already wasted waaaay too much of my time putting your team back together.

If there are any trades that you feel should be reversed, please send me a u2u. I'll post them up for a vote tomorrow according to the site-wide trade protest process.

I reversed the most recent trade. I'm going to let the ones from 1 month ago sim time stand, on the basis they happened too long ago.

Thanks Tyson for taking care of this issue. I would also like to apologize to you and the league. Things got kinda nasty. I have a pretty long history in SD and you will be hard pressed to find an incident were another owner and myself disagreed so much. I guess it was the guys arrogance that set me off, it is one of my buttons. But I will say no more since he is not here to defend himself. Thanks again Tyson.
