While I'm playing HTML critic, I would also suggest that the inner tables for the game results be set to CellPadding=0 rather than CellPadding=2. I also think Border=1 might look cool on the logos on this screen...

Finally, Boxscore should probably be Box Score. It's going to break in the position it's in, but rather than NOWRAP it I suggest ALIGN=CENTER and let it break. THat will skrink the score column, which is a bit too wide anyway, and take some pressure off the team name column.

I know everyone is offering helpful comments, but let's not lose sight of the fact that the League Scores page is another damn fine addition...

For the average guy (me) this is just another great addition!

It is an incredible addition! But here in beta, this sort of constructive criticism is our job...

Yep, this is the place to get it as right as it can be.

Maybe we can look at this page some more during the next Thursday chat?

This page has been updated somewhat based on your comments.

You are viewing the raw post code; this allows you to copy a message with BBCode formatting intact.
Don't know if this is a problem for anybody else but the Chicago NL logo isn't appearing on my page. I just get the old boxed in red x.

Looks like the images need to be align=absmiddle instead of align=left. Other than that and the missing image, looks good!

I fixed the missing image, we also added slightly smaller images for this page.

The smaller images make the page more proportional, definitely an upgrade.

I saw the reply to the saves question, so I won't repeat that, but any chance on getting hits and errors tossed into the line?

Overall, great addition.

Yes, the team name needs to be centered on the images.

When I tried absmiddle, I got an error when I ran the table through an HTML validator. What about "vertical-align: middle" instead, as a style attribute of the image or as part of a new estyles class for the image?

ABSMIDDLE is depreciated, but it still works. The style is probably the proper way to go... There's already a style from the stylesheet applied to that cell, so it could just be added to that style.

This was mentioned earlier but I don't think it ever got a reply. Is there any way we can have the teams records on there???

Where would be a good place for these? Below the team names, maybe? There is some vertical space there due to the images' being taller than the team name. I think that space is about to shrink, though, to 24 pixels from 32.

Either below if there is enough room or to the right of the names. The names seem like they might be able to stand a font size down but I don't know for sure. But if there is room then, yes, below would be the best place to have it.

I just noticed too that if you click on one of the pitchers names on this page it does not open it up in a new window, it just replaces the league scores page with the player card.
