Why is my closer in the game in the 7th inning on the short end of a 5-0 game?!

I have 6 relief pitchers (2 with B or better endurance ratings), I was in the 5th game of a 6-game home stand (a day off prior), and I had NO extra inning games in that span and reasonably effective pitching the 2 games prior (4 pitchers the previous game with an abbreviated start and a starter/closer combo the game before).
Nope. Abe just decided the closer role was irrelevant... an A- Long B and a B+ Short B were fully rested but let's not bother with long men...

my first guess would be:
If my team is up by (x) Runs, or down by (x) Runs, and a RP is brought in (most rested/ use rules)
but that's just a guess. I do promise that somewhere in your settings there's something that told ABE to do this. he's not capable of ignoring rules. by the same token he's also not capable of not following the rules when the rules don't make sense.

there's always a reason and it's always in your settings somewhere.my first guess would be:
