Just curious where some of you ranked Jack. He is the guy I targeted so I moved him way up. Gonna try and play him on offense too.

I ranked him 6th and picked em at 12th

I had him ranked #17, but that's because I was picking up the top CB in the draft (in my opinion at least).

If not, I would have had him higher though..he was a good pickup for you guys.

I had him at no. 19. Nice player but that position was not priority for me. I think he´s the third best CB, if he can tackle he´ll be a good pick, I think #6 may have been a bit of a reach but he´s good value at #12 overall and plays a premium position

I got Will Jones at on round 2, he had a great combine and I ranked him over these guys who had bad combines but higher overall ratings. It will be interesting to see how they pan out

Leslie Crouse

Bruce Dowling

I had Cornsweet 16th and the 3rd CB overall. I wouldn't have wanted him badly enough to rank him above the guy I got in R1, but anytime after that would have been great.

Rich, I don't think I understand how the Combine impacted your decision. What does a better performance there actually tell you? What rating (since we already see the numbers) could have been higher? Attitude? Execution?

Must have been Wil Jones Mental grades that showed well at the combine.

I plan on starting Cornsweet at FS & #2 HB.

I had him ranked 23rd. I guess I looked at his position and primary position and figured I could take someone later (I got 2 very solid DB's in round 7).

I ranked him 21st overall and 3rd at CB. I really liked his upside!

I had him ranked 31st but that was primarily a function of my needs, which were defensive front seven.

The thought that any player could play both ways would simply further illustrate the weakness of the sim's ability to measure fatigue and it's effects on player's abilities.

Last year my 22 yo punter Ellis Fridge started 3 or 4 reg season games at QB. He also started every game at P, K, KOS with 30 stamina. He performed well enough to win a couple. The starting QB was lost for the first four weeks and I thought my season was over so I figured to give the kicker some minutes to boost his ICs. Thats the plan for Cornsweet too.

Fridge had some throwing skills though... Cornsweet really doesn't. He is unlikely to make the minimum rating to appear on the QB depth chart.

He will be HB #2 and WR #5 to go with starting FS. Might play him some at SS & CB. He wont start both ways unless the other halfback gets injured.

I´m just guessing, but I figured the combine must count for something and Jones was top 3 in every catagory except the 40 where he was #5 (40 yard dash) and was #1 in 3 catagories.

It was Crouse that really jumped out at me, he was middle of the pack or lower on everything.

Dowling had 2 good scores but the rest were also middle of the pack. Plus his potential is 11

McKeever is the guy I loved, (obvously) and he had those high ratings and a good combine.

Again, I really dont know what it means, but I thought it was a good case to look at since the 2 higher rated guys did not perform as well as the lower rated guy.

Jack got his self a rushing TD on his second carry. Gotta get the ball in his hands more.

Now that I have seen that an "M" on a prospect's rating can be as low as C-, I realize there's a huge range there that might be unveiled by Combine study to some degree.

I drafted a few guys with "M" ratings that turned out to be disappointing, so I'll have to try next season to gauge, if I can, whether those might be high or low within that scale.

If I have some time, I'll go back and look at Combine now and see if I can find any clues I might have missed.

Its interesting. Im pretty sure the Combine is there for a reason... Chris is kinda tricky and its not like he has time to do things that dont have a real impact...

The Combine will be much more important in a letters league.

Right now, I can see that a guy is exactly one point from bumping up a grade. But if I were trying to compare two guys in Speed where one is B+ and one is B, I really have to wonder if they are one point apart or 13 points apart. The Combine can possibly shed some useful light on that.

With the numbers, that element is far reduced.
