So is this saying if someone were to lose more than 102 games this season that they would still get the number 1 pick but next season would be punished or does it go into effect for that draft?

#6. any team who loses more than 102 games in a season will move down one position in the each round in the next year's amateur draft. Even if the pick has been traded, the penalty will be applied.So is this saying if someone were to lose more than 102 games this season that they would still get the number 1 pick but next season would be punished or does it go into effect for that draft?

So if my team loses 105 games this year, in the amateur draft the following spring I would move down the #2 pick in each round instead of #1 overall.

I considered leaving the league over that stupid rule... serves no legitimate purpose other than to prevent the worst team from getting the first pick.... if you are rebuilding you might not be a 60 win team when you have powerhouses in your league... however you will see teams going for 60 wins who just seem to start losing more games right when they touch that 60 at the end of the season... so instead of the worst team doing what they would be expected to do (stink) you invite more teams to dump (not saying any team in particular does it but it happens)... you will here blah blah blah everyone does it (not true) and it discourages sucky teams (it does no such thing because a 2nd pick aint bad either).... really someone one day hatched a way to punish a bad team they did not like and people followed like the drones they are... on the other hand, the new system using your record to determine how your players develop that is actually a real cause and effect way to deal with people not trying to win, not this 60 win lottery pick situation that moves everyone back a single pick and rewards another sucky but less sucky team
