World Champs!

Congratulations, Detroit Tigers! The Tigers played very well: strong SP performances and a well-balanced attack. Meanwhile, the Kings did not generate enough offense and our bullpen let us down. Dick McAuliffe's 2-out, ninth inning, walk-off home run to win the WS (and spoil a sparkling pitching performance by young Johnny Raymer) must have touched off quite a celebration in Detroit!

This was another fun year. Good luck, everyone, in the OS and in the amateur draft. The Kings are looking forward to 1971.
