Following in Kann's Footsteps

I registered to take the online test for the Jeopardy college tourney this fall, and luckily (getting ahead of myself) there's a personal tryout in Nashville on Nov. 4th, so if I get the call it's one that's accessible to me, whereas I've usually only noticed tryouts in places like NY or LA. Or Chicago, even... But one that comes down south for a change? Thank Jesus.

I have every bit of confidence I can get on this thing. Test says it starts in about 25 mins. Wish me luck!

How did it go Goat?.. If you get a-ways in the process IM me and I will help you all that I can! Back in the summer of '98 when I took the test they were in NOLA.

It was the last time I was there and God I remember it being hot that day!!!!

I may have gotten 30 questions right. I messed up on some of the obvious questions. I actually feel I did well, but I should've known more than I did.

I wish the tryout were in the Big Easy... But I doubt a lot of nationwide stuff will be happening anywhere near that city for a while.

How many Q's were on the test...

When I tried out there was no internet test and you answered a 50 question quiz on site in a big room with abouty a hundred others... Think you needed 35 there to move on to "simulated game play" test.. They didnt tell us how many we got, but I know I got 35+

Yeah, they've moved the 50Q test to an online environment. I got a little too nervous a little too early thinking I had this in the bag.

Funny thing is I knew the answer to a lot of the ones I missed... I just got jittery at the wrong time.

I hear that Alex Trebec likes to hunt the lowest scorers for sport...

Goat,

Doing the 50Qs online seems like a bad idea.

I mean what is to keep a group of us from gathering around the monitor and taking the test. Or perhaps someone who is sure to pass (ken jennings) taking it for a borderline idiot (GWB)
