The Cyclones recent three game set against Detroit saw the achievement of a few personal milestones.
Lev Palmeirocontinues to defy his age by smacking his twenty first triple of the year establishing a new single season record.
Veteran slugger Dick Cox reached career RBI #2,000 and career Home Run #500 on 09/12/1970 with a fourth inning blast. Dick now becomes the first member of the 3,000 hit, 2,000 RBI, 500 HR club.
Cyclone management would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Palmeiro and Cox on these personal achievements.

Nice work, fellas. Hey -- I just noticed today that we have a new all-time leader in runs scored: earlier this year, That Catcher from Pennsylvania joined Dixie Whiten as the second member of the 2,000-run club, and he has since passed the master. (It happened a while ago, but I don't think anybody said anything.)
