Essentially your dealing those 3 guys for the 1st round pick (which I'm assuming would be a late first), a 2nd rounder and maybe Coleman. The other two players and draft picks will never help help you, and Coleman will be a back of the rotation starter, at best.
I wouldn't trade Flores, he's young enough to help you when you compete. You probably should deal the other 2 guys soon while they have some value to get pieces that will contribute when you compete. Maybe counter with Gray and Cermak for the 1st rounder and Coleman (or one of his younger bats).

Not sure I'd do that deal if Flores WASN'T in it. I certainly wouldn't do it WITH Flores. Unless you get lucky with the #1 pick, he is the most valuable commodity in the deal and always will be. Late 2nd round picks are usually throw aways. 3rd round picks are nothing but filler; pretty much worthless. Coleman might have some value someday. The other two guys are waiver wire fodder.

I will agree with the other two posts above. Flores is way too young and too good to give up for that group.
I looked at his roster and nothing stood out as worth while trade material on his team in order to give up Flores.

Oh my !
How best to phrase this ..........
NO.
Flores is far away the best player in the deal and he's only 26, none of the players you are getting have much value and the picks are likely to be middle of the round - especially since your guys are going to make his team much better.

well gurus...I declined that trade...question though....obviously a 34 yr old like Cermak with declining skills would be good to give up now before he deteriorates further...but what exactly is the value of a mentor. Is he worth keeping around for that reason, should I draft a good prospect in his position next draft?

The value of an A+ mentor such as Cermack is that you can play him as your sole vet, surround him with youth and still get C/C+ mentoring, thus be able develop more youth. As far as drafting a replacement, I do not draft by position but rather by skill level. Most Sim-D players do. With the exception of catcher and pitchers, you can usually play a player out of position without much penalty.
