Trade advice in the Cool Papa Bell League

i like koehler a lot actually. but tabler is a pretty decent prospect as well, and that looks like a top 5 pick you'd be giving up. that makes it more dicey for me. if it were figga he was offering, then yes. but for koehler i think that's a bit much. tempting, but i'm inclined to say no. maybe he'd take tabler and a 2nd?

by the way, the 5-5-3-2 in your minors won't work out well. you're much better off with 5 on skaff. i don't know that grevel will ever get his contact numbers high enough to be an everyday player. if you want to take a shot with him though i'd do it at the major league level and leave the cp's for more rounded prospects.

My thoughts were along the same lines as dirt's, but instead of sub'ing a #2 for the #1, I was thinking maybe asking for his #2 back in the deal. I don't think it's an altogether horrible offer. I can certainly look at it and see the potential to make a deal there. But I probably wouldn't make the deal the way it's currently proposed.

i had that thought too lvnwrth, and would probably do that deal, but i thought it worth a shot with the #2 first. i assume the other guy would either take it or (more likely) counter with what you suggested.
