That was a weird thing to say, considering that I haven't made any particularly controversial political statements in this thread. Unless it was a request that was completely on the level, in which case I have a prediction...

O'Reilly plays along with Colbert's bit on both shows, laughing and having a good time, perhaps making one or two lighthearted jabs, all the while being subtly worked-over by the vastly superior intellect of Colbert. He then goes on his show the next day and bemoans the Secular Progressives (tm) in the media, like Colbert, who are warping the perceptions of normal people to make them think that George Bush isn't a super-genius, that illegal immigrants don't commit 95% of all crimes in this country and that the Earth wasn't created 6000 years ago and populated by human beings who rode dinosaurs until the Great Flood washed them away. From the safety of his bully pulpit he will eviscerate, in his own adorable Special Ed way, Stephen Colbert and his spot-on Bill O'Reilly impression, and talking bobblehead Michelle Malkin will vehemently agree with him while gunning down people who look swarthy and vaguely Middle Eastern who pass her on the street.

It was on the level FG.. I didn't what your opinon is here and wanted to know before I snarked on you...

That said I would have to agree wthat after seeing O'Reilly on Letterman, he will be destroyed by the much more talented Colbert.. Letterman made him look like a fool...egad what will Colbert do...and I agree Oreilly will come back later and preach to his 5% and they will believe, buut no one else is drinking the Kool-Aid anymore...

Sorry to have disturbed you all.

Watching you dweebs talk about D&D gives me the self-same feeling of superiority that my "manufactured housing located" cousins get from watching COPS... No matter how trashy (or nerdy) you have become, there is always some just a little more committed.

I was all set to watch BOR. I set up "The Office" to be recorded and everything. And then I put on Fox News, and BillO's face came on, and he said a few words, and I bailed. It was easily the fastest I have ever quit something in my life. I just....I wasn't prepared. The pain hit me all at once. I couldn't handle it. If anyone watched him, and something interesting or funny happened, perhaps they'll share. Otherwise, I'll have to grit my teeth through BillO on the Report, where at least I'll know that Colbert will have home field advantage.

Here it is... Just not that funny...Seemed like Colbert had the one joke that played throughout the entire piece....Billo was his usual moronic self when trying to be hip...
