Incredible comeback against the Giants. Sure, it could've been avoided by New York, but Young was unbelievable.November 27, 2006 at 12:21AM View formatted

What ever happened to all those people last fall who were saying how great Eli Manning is? KCLV I'm talking to you (and to a lesser extent you Jeter)November 27, 2006 at 03:00AM View BBCode
Manning did fine this game except for his late interception and yes had a few bad games but I still see him becoming a solid QB. What lost this game was the freaking rookie who didn't sack Young. You'll probably see the play I'm talking about on sports center if you didn't see the game. It was 4th and 10 with 3 minutes left and Tennesee (yes I spelled that wrong) was down by a touch down when the moron tried to sack Young, had him in his arms, and just decided to let go and lose the game.November 27, 2006 at 03:07AM View BBCode
That too, but the sack just really didn't make sense to me.November 27, 2006 at 03:21AM View BBCode
The rest of the game made sense?November 27, 2006 at 05:02AM View BBCode
Young had a really nice game. Hopefully he can be more consistent than the other "running threat" QB in the NFL right now.November 27, 2006 at 12:00PM View BBCode
I don't know, I think he finally showed some poise. I'll give you guys that much. But I still think he has a ways to go before he plays at the level of the other young QBs in the league (Rivers, Leinart, Manning, Romo).November 27, 2006 at 12:35PM View BBCode
I won't argue that Young will or won't be a great QB its still too early to tell. He certainly had a great 4th quarter yesterday. Eli on the other hand isn't good. He makes dumb decisions and is getting to the point where he can no longer be considered a "young" QB. (If you assume a 10 year life expectancy for an NFL QB then the end of year three should be entering middle age). He's not a bust of Leaf proportions but at this point his career isn't looking as good as Drew Bledsoe's or Steve Bartkowski's.November 27, 2006 at 07:24PM View BBCode
There was a great article in the New York Times in August about third-year QBs. History strongly suggests that QBs who have not busted out in their first or second season of play are very likely to be mediocre at best.November 27, 2006 at 09:40PM View BBCode
I've never met Rich Gannon and it's unlikely that I will, so I will be unable to fulfill your request. Maybe you could tell him, since it's your idea?November 27, 2006 at 09:43PM View BBCode
Are you seriously calling Gannon something better than mediorce? One good season makes you Jim Plunkett not Dan Marino.November 27, 2006 at 10:00PM View BBCode
yes, Im saying a guy who threw for over 15,000 yards in 4 seasons starting with his 11th pro season before his career was effectively ended and who was a 3 time pro bowler and one time league MVP is better than mediocre.November 29, 2006 at 06:46AM View BBCode

Young looks like he is going to be a strong leader, and the Titans are young enough and talented enough that barring another salary cap collapse, I could see them getting to the playoffs in the next 2 years. The big question for me is going to be do they keep Travis Henry or let Lendale take over...November 29, 2006 at 04:48PM View BBCode
If Vick can't be a running QB in the NFL what makes people think that Vince will be any more dangerous? At least Vick can throw the ball as well.November 29, 2006 at 05:04PM View BBCode

Pretty sure max meant first 3 years starting, not just being in the league in general. Not much a guy can do if he's not getting the chance..November 29, 2006 at 08:29PM View BBCode

In Young's gm against the Ravens for example, he exhibited poise and handled himself well (this coming from a Ravens fan) while going up against McNarr. I think that he is a great QB, and can thrive in the NFL; only time will tell. By his fourth season, we all should be able to effectively answer this question about him.
