I need a catcher pretty badly, but this seems a bit to much to give up on a guy that will be around for 2-3 years. Any commente would be appreciated. Thanks!

PS: This is a blind league.

I wouldn't give up this much for him. Do you think you have a shot at the playoffs?

I do think I have a pretty good shot at it. My pitching is solid, but my bats have gone into a funk as of late. This guy (Chacon) is a proven hitter that would improve my production out of the catcher spot immensely. My real concern is that I will need to draft a catcher here pretty quick, and will have to wait another year if I give up my 1st and 2nd round draft choice now.

See if you can get him to add an outfielder to replace Scheer. If he does that I'd take the deal. If not I'd have to be sure that you're definitely going to the playoffs if you make this deal, which I don't think you can be sure of. So I'd say no on this one.
