I know few will agree with me--the reaction of most sports fans seems to be backlash against Knight's critics for oversensitivity--but I am amazed that kids will go play for that guy.
Striking a kid the way he did--even if it didn't cause any physical pain at all--is a classic sign of weakness. Good coaches don't need to do that to get a player's attention.
Knight hasn't won a national title in 20 years, and he's the loosest cannon in coaching at any level. He consistently shows no respect for his players, the media, and university administrators. I love his offensive system, but I think it's time for him to hang it up.

so the guy has problems, he is still a good coach, and as long as he get sthe players, he will probably keep coaching, in 5 years Pat will take over the weekly beatings.November 14, 2006 at 06:00PM View BBCode
I'm not all that sure that Bob Knight is still a good coc.November 14, 2006 at 06:36PM View BBCode
