Greatest hitter ever

August 01, 2006 at 08:18PM View BBCode

[color=Black][/color]I guess for my first post back, i'll go for hitters, since ya'll got down pitchers already (i maintain that the big train is the greatest ever: 417 wins, 110 shutouts, come on). It doesn't matter if ur guy is or was a pure hitter or not. My choice is Pujols. Yea, he is only in his sixth season, and yea his RBI, AVG, HR and hits totals have a pattern or rising and droping, but he is very consistent and just keeps better and better. I'm sure some one will take me to task for this, so what. Pujols reminds me of Robinson (frank).

That's a terrible choice. Go outside and flog yourself.

If you don't make eye-contact, maybe it will go away.

I would, i really would, but it's like 102 out there. Anyway, defind yourself. Who is your choice? Better question, why is your choice better than mine? Pujols i think is the only hitter to have at least avg a .300 avg, 30 plus homers, 100 plus runs and rbis, 180 plus hits a year for the first five years of his career. No sophmore jinx here. A-rod can't say that, Ruth can't say that, Bonds wished he can say that.

Has he ever shot down CommieNazis?

No, but this is about hitting a ball. Pujols doesn't need to steal home (although he has added a running gm now, 16 sb's last year) to prove he is the greatest hitter. Nice try, really, but you got to come with somethin stronger buddy.

No, but he does have a surprisingly nice patch of a bald spot on the top of his head, he's only 26!!!

Meh, Nixon was overrated as a hitter.

I bet he was never chased around the bases by two creepy-looking white dudes.

He certainly never...has done nothing interesting or even remotely comical in his natural life.

George, however, was a classic punchless first baseman. Like Sean Casey or J.T. Snow.
