Who will wear the glass slipper?

My picks for under dogs to make Swet 16:
UW-Milwaukee - plays inconsistant Oklahoma, then a usual underacheiving in NCAA tourny team of Florida. Can win them both.
Wichita State - plays an NIT calibur team of Seton Hall then will prove just why Tennessee should be no higher then a 4th.

UW-Milwaukee played well in the tourney last year. I agree, it wouldn't be surprising to see them win a few this year as well.

I agree, Tennessee wins no more than one game. Wichita State is a sweet 16 team with their draw.
Keep an eye out for SDSU. Besides a championship coach, they have a Florida transfer as well as 2 potential NBA players.
Be very wary of 'Nova and Memphis too.
I agree, Wisc-Mil should win 2 games.

I could see Tennessee losing to Winthrop actually.
I'm glad BC is in the Minneapolis bracket - I'm already had my tickets for that one anyhow!

BC should make the final four. They have a fairly easy road there.

They can easily get to the Elite 8 with Allen Ray out, but BC is way too up-and-down to beat a good team like Ohio State.

Most fun team to watch: Kansas
Inconsistent ALL year. First trip to Austin, with the Big 12 regular season title on the line, they layed a huge egg. Going back to Dallas yesterday, for what was essentially another Texas home game, they played tough for 35 minutes, then handled Texas in the last 5 minutes. This kind of a game, tight all the way, was a perfect opportunity for a young team to fold against a veteran team, and they didn't.
This team is scary good when everyone plays well. Problem is, with a top seven that includes four freshmen (Chalmers, Rush, Wright, Jackson) and three sophomores (Robinson, Kaun, Giles), there are nights one or more of these kids just don't bring their "A" game to the floor.
Speaking strictly on a talent basis, they are as talented as any team in the country. I really do believe that. There isn't a team in the country with 7 more talented players than KU's top 7. I don't think they will get past the Sweet 16 because they'd likely be facing Memphis. And to be honest, if a couple of those kids don't show up, they could get beat by Bradley in the first round.
But it's sure been fun to watch this gropu mature from an almost hapless (3-4 start) bunch of kids who didn't have clue how to be a team, or how to play their coach's defense and transiton game; into a real team that can, at times, play stifling defense, runs the floor well, and have won 15 of their last 16.
He won't win Coach of the Year, because everyone expects KU to be good every year, but Bill Self has, IMO, done the best coaching job in the country this year. If he can keep any five of these kids in school for four years, Kansas will just flat out frighten people.

Aldridge disappeared (again) in that game, and so did Gibson. I'd like to see UT and KU play when both of them were playing well.
Anyway, I like George Mason over MSU and Iona over LSU. I think Burtt could catch fire from outside, and LSU is mainly a good inside team. If they can find a way to guard Davis, the upset will happen.

Maybe it was KU's defense that caused Aldridge to disappear.

He did it against Baylor. He does it in half of their games. Kansas played very well, but so did Texas in their first game. Thats why I'd like to see it when they were both playing "very well".

First off, Wichita State is the #7 seed so unless you are talking about them upsetting Tennessee, it wouldn't be an upset.
Here are the upsets:
Air Force over Illinois
AFA is pumped after all of the heat saying they shouldn't get in, Illinois will sleep on them and AFA will win.
Utah State over Washington
Similar to the AFA game, most people don't think they should be in here. Will be overlooked by an inconsistent Washington team.
SDSU over Indiana
Read Devau's explanation.
Georgetown over No. Iowa, Ohio State, and Florida
They are extremely athletic and play very good defense, not the team you want to play in March.
Strong Possibilities:
Winthrop over Tennessee
South Alabama over Florida
Iona over LSU
A&M over Syracuse
Bradley over Kansas
George Mason over Michigan State
Kent State over Pittsburgh

UNC-W is a very good team, with a solid point guard and athleticbig guys who finish. They are really fun to watch, and I was expecting them to be a good upset pick until I saw their draw.
I think they will give GW a tough game, but then Duke in round 2 would be too much for them, I guess.

They were stupid to put two relatively small schools against each other. I would have rather seen UNCW against Arizona or Wisconsin, and GW against the other.
And I'm surprised I've heard absolutely nobody else make FG's pick with SIU. Them being a physical defensive team could really cause problems for West Virginia, and then Iowa too.

Two brackets in my office pool, two different approaches. I applied a sabermetrical approach to one, looking at the efficiency ratings on this Web site and just picking the higher-rated team in each matchup. The result was a Final Four of Texas-Kansas and UConn-Nova, with the Longhorns beating the Huskies in the championship. Barely plausible, but a methodology is a methodology.
My other bracket has Duke meeting Kansas and UConn meeting Boston College (another pick I loathe, but the Minneapolis region just seems too difficult to call, and I wanted some variation from the above bracket), with the Blue Devils beating the Huskies in the final. I abhor Duke and the Dick Vitale rooter bus, but they should have a relatively easy journey through Atlanta.
Some upset picks from the latter bracket: Texas A & M over Syracuse, Southern Illinois (Say it with me, So Ill!) over W.Va. and Iowa (good call, Furious), Indiana over Gonzaga in the second round (I'm not on the Aztecs' bandwagon in round one, and the Zags' defense is deplorable), Wichita State over Tennessee in round two, UW-Milwaukee over Oklahoma, Georgetown over the Buckeyes in round two.

Pacific and BC were tied at halftime, seems like a good game. The OU game is on here, and its been pretty good so far. UWM has had a small lead most of the game.

BC won't lose, but if they did, my brackets would be gone since I have them in the Final Four in all of my brackets.

Haha.
UWM is pulling away from OU. I wish they would switch to the Pacific-Boston College game.

I'm getting the BC game here. I guess because Pacific is somewhere near here (I have never met anyone who went there though...).

Really? Wow. I mean, they were a nice story last year and all, but they're not really THAT good.

UWM is the only team in the field that starts five seniors.
That should be enough for them to win two games. They will not become the lowest seed ever to reach the Final Four, however.
I have three #1s and UCLA in my Final Four, with Villanova beating Duke in the final. My only halfway interesting pick is Arkansas beating Memphis.

I think I have Bucknell beating Memphis in one bracket. I've heard a few people picking Oral Roberts against Memphis.
