LCS updates, through 4.

STL has tied up BRO 2-2 after dropping the first 2. The turning point seems to have been in Game 3 when BRO was unable to break a 4-4 tie in the ninth when they failed to plate a run despite three consecutive singles. STL took the game with a walkoff homer in the 11th. It has been a tight series with both teams "in it" until the end.

Cleveland is poised for what may be an upset (although with 108 wins, it is hard to consider the Naps an underdog) with a 3-1 lead over KC. They have lit up the league's #1 pitching staff for 8/8/7/7 runs respectively in the first four games. I wouldn't count out Sea Urchins, though, they know what it takes to win a ring and don't intend to float away quietly.

The Ogres finally overcame the Ship in their 3rd NLCS matchup. Game 6 featured a pitching gem between Wood and Arlett. They each gave up 1 run and no more than 3 hits each through 7. STL popped a 3 run HR in the 8th to take a 4-1 lead, only to see BRO put up 4 in the bottom of the frame after Arlett was pulled for a 7th inning pinchhitter. As is always the case with the Ogre's bullpen, the game was far from over as Armando Alvarez comes in to close and walks 3 of the first 4 batters. He notched the save only after getting a K and deep fly to center.

ALCS is going 7, which may give me a slight benefit as I can reset and rest my rotation a bit with the extra off day.

Congrats KC!

Once again, your team has proven just too strong to beat! It almost looked as if a miracle was going to happen, but alas, it just wasn't meant to be.

Good luck tomorrow! Make the AL proud!
