I'll be thinking about the wisdom of Benjamin Franklin who said
"Both fish and relatives smell after three days"

Christmas trade by Boston & New York.
New York gets a late #1, that needed vet catcher for mentoring, & a young hitter for super stud closer of the future.
Normally, I'd be inclinded to say Boston got the better deal, but if he doesn't get Phillippe's endurance up, I'll call it an even bet.

Actually, I got two first rounders.
Closers are important in SD, but not as important as starting pitchers and hitters. Plus, you can put late round draft choices or cheap relievers and it doesn't make that big of a difference, as long as you have 2 or 3 top guys. I figured that Burgos, Willis, and Nunez would be good enough to do the job for me, and I needed a mentor. The young hitter will be a pretty good hitter, probably not All Star caliber, but will be serviceable in the least.
I thought it was a even deal both ways.
