World Series

November 09, 2005 at 10:52PM View BBCode

First year in this league, and I'm in the World Series. Did Boston win last year???

Good series, St. Louis, but my offense woke up and put a hurting on that pitching staff. It will be interesting to see if I can do the same to Boston's vaunted starters. I'm hoping to get to that bullpen though!!!

And I better, as my pitching kind of sucks compared to his.

Best of luck,
Doug

Best of luck Boston in the Series. Win one for the AL! Cleveland was shut down by Boston's pitching in the ALCS, scoring only 15 runs in 6 games. Ace Spider Morgan
(20-3) 2.05, was outpitched by Jess DeBerry (13-10) 4.45 in pivotal game 5 with the series 2-2.

I had to dig up an answer to Doug's question.

1950 New York Rangers over St Louis
1951 Cleveland over St. Louis
1952 Chicago Imperials over St Louis
1953 Boston over Philadelphia

Seems to have been an AL domination to this point. Could be a classic in 54.

Well, got it to 2-2. Let's see if it can go 7 and be a great series.

Time for my boys to crank up the big bats I spent all year getting!

I doubt my pitching is going to carry me through, and my pen is pretty tired right now.

Good series Boston, but it's nice to bring a trophy home to Chicago.

Off-season should be interesting, as well as next year.

All my main components are coming back next year, plus I should have some improvement. The thing to watch is if KC & that pitching staff are going to finally put a lineup together. Heaven help us if they do, we'll all be watching the Trophy goto & stay in KC for a while if it happens.

Anyways, I lost in the Minoso league in the World Series, and I felt my team was dominant, so at least I have a celebration to do.

Congrats, Chicago

Good to see the championship come to the NL!! St. Louis has been the team to beat in the NL since the beginning of the league. Now we've got a new rival to zero in on.
