The leaders in both the american and national leagues will be playing a three game series tomorrow. I tried to gain on Boston after that tragic series against Washington, but winning 8 in a row to get within one game, I lost my last game and fell back to 2 games out.
It looks similar in the national league where Pittsburgh came on hard to tie the Meatheads for the lead, only to fall back 2 games going into their series.
Questions of the day:
1. Can Detriot's hot hitting and adequate pitching best Boston's even hotter hitting team in a three game series to get back in striking range?
2. Can Milwaulkee's olid pitching and youth hold the Black Cats at bay not only in this series, but will the pitching hold for the other 100 games?
Any predictions?

Well, Milwaukee heads into the series hurting having lost Cal Boyland and Paul Molitor to injuries. Cal Boyland is head and shoulders the most dangerous hitter in Milwaukee and his bat will be sorely missed.
