Yankees change line up; add a rookie?!?!?!?

The Yankees finally realized Bernie is not what he used to be, so they're sitting him and Matsui is the official centerfielder. Tony Womack, for whatever sinister reason, is going to be the starting left fielder. At second base, Robinson Cano is the starter. I'm still speechless from learning the Yankees would actually start a rookie, from their farm system no less.

I think it's King George more than the New York papers. George demands excellence and right now, he isn't getting it. Torre can probably smell himself getting fired. Why? Because King George is a freakin' crackpot.Anyway, we're no better. If the Orioles lose tonight, I'll be writing off the rest of the season.

Ugh... That's what everybody said last year as well. Actually whenever they hit a slide that's what people say. Bottom line is that all teams go through skids and hot streaks. Just because they are "the Yankees" and their big skid has been in the beginning of the season people are panicking and saying that it is over. Do you all really expect the White Sox to have the best record in the league all year long? Probably not, they have just hit their hot streak now as opposed to later. By August everything will be balanced out and we will start to see the teams that were predicted to be at the top filling out the top and those that were predicted to be at the bottom start to sink down. Of course there is always the exception for the surprise team or disappointing team or whatever but lets wait until we get alittle farther than game 26 into the season to determine who those teams are.

Look, the fact that anyone would think Torre is working on getting fired because his team is under .500 a month into a season only thinks that because George Stienbrenner has a track record of making rash managerial decisions. That and the fact that the New York sportswriters are freaking insane.

I related this as my "meeting famous person" story before. I sat right across from Patrick Ewing in an airport waiting area one time, and he's even uglier in person. And tall. Really tall.

Well, the Yanks are still taking it up the ass for the Ted Lilly-Jeremy Bonderman/Carlos Pena-Jeff Weaver deal, which everyone said was horrible for baseball at the time cause the Yanks were just buying another star player.

Fantasy Analysis
Brown's ERA ballooned to 8.25 after his third poor start in four games this season. He is not a recommended Fantasy starter in any format right now until he begins to pitch more consistently.
