Just got home from watching BC-Georgetown at a bar with some fellow BC alums. Wow, our team looked pretty good I must say.January 30, 2005 at 03:23AM View BBCode
2 thru 6 should be interesting how it breaks down. Duke lost, but they still only have 1 loss while NC has 2. Kansas, Kentucky, and BC were all pretty close last week in the rankings.January 30, 2005 at 04:36AM View BBCode
Last I saw Texas beat OK State which is a pretty good team. Im not caught up with college basketball like I should be but shouldnt they be in the top 10?January 30, 2005 at 04:41AM View BBCode
They lost to OU, and tonight they got demolished by Kansas. They are missing two of their 4 best players. Their best player, PJ Tucker, is ineligible for the rest of the season because of poor grades, and their starting center, freshmen LaMarcus Aldridge, is out and may need surgery due to a hip injury. This year was suppose to be a building year, but they were doing pretty well until they lost those two. Next year they should be very good, with 3 of their best players being freshmen, their best player being a sophomore, and one of their other very good players being a junior.January 30, 2005 at 12:31PM View formatted

Oh, you're a Providence guy, huh? I thought for sure you guys would beat us the other day.January 30, 2005 at 08:25PM View BBCode
We looked good in the first half but our ball handling this year is disgusting. I think we average about 20+ turnovers a game.January 30, 2005 at 08:30PM View BBCode
One of the best quarterbacks in the country went to Duke. He said he doesn't expect to play football his first year, just basketball, but he may end up playing football eventually.January 30, 2005 at 08:36PM View BBCode

It makes sense, they are the closest team to BC geographically in the ACC, right?January 31, 2005 at 12:30AM View BBCode
I think BC-Maryland has good potential for a rivalry.January 31, 2005 at 12:35AM View BBCode
Yea, they're pretty even in basketball and football.January 31, 2005 at 04:01PM View BBCode
I think you need these 2 things for a good rivalryJanuary 31, 2005 at 04:33PM View BBCode
You want a rivalry with another team in the ACC? Be proactive. Pick some fights in the stands against the fans of a team of your choosing. Scream offensive things at the opposing players. Barrage their message boards with incoherent ramblings and meaningless stats. Set up your own site like www.Clemsongradsaremorons.com or www.allyellowjacketsareinbreds.org. Rivalries don't just fall in your lap, you have to work on them. Especially if you're a school from Boston joining a conference with no other teams north of College Park, Maryland.January 31, 2005 at 04:49PM View BBCode
Yeah, I agree. It will take 20 years to get a rivalry going with a school.January 31, 2005 at 09:23PM View BBCode
I'm a Washington guy, and I always enjoy watching the Washington/Washington State rivalry games, particularly in football with the Apple Cup. Basketball is pretty good as well with the Dawgs kicking ass; both teams used to suck at basketball.January 31, 2005 at 09:50PM View BBCode

They're doing hella better than I originally thought and could push for a #1 seed if they win the Pac-10. Sweet 16, Elite 8 will be satisfying for me.January 31, 2005 at 11:14PM View BBCode
They have no chance at a number one seed. The pac10 isn't good enough for a team that already has a few losses to get one. Robinson is a damn good player, though, and I think that he could lead them pretty far in the tournament.January 31, 2005 at 11:21PM View BBCode
They could go far with a 2 or 3, and they have a good chance at that if they win the conference.January 31, 2005 at 11:23PM View BBCode
Arizona's pretty much their only competition in the Pac-10 but they've been kicking everybody else's ass with the 2nd highest scoring offense in the nation.Pages: 1
