New owner in long term league

Youngallstar is taking over from Bob. I got a U2U from him a long time back that said he didn't have the time for Beta anymore - but said I would leave his team for now. I haven't heard from him in a long time, so I figured it was time to replace his team. If he comes back, he'll obviously be allowed back in some capacity with one of the teams.

Hmmm... I guess I should probably start reading Q&A more often now. I always figured Bob had it and I barely ever read that forum anymore. Although I'm sure it's well taken care of by Tyson and other long time members.

yes, but the long term league draft was messed up and the free agent list was loaded with A rated veterans, gobbled up by teams like me and chi-al, so the league isn't really legitimate in a competition sense.

Honestly I never felt the beta should be about trying to win. It's about finding the bugs and issues. If that means you have to trade away an A+ stud for a D+ loser to see if some kinda check in the system works right... then so be it. Of course it's nice to win, but it's more important to see if everything works the way it should when your developing the team you need to win. The way this draft worked it made it impossible to really see how building a franchise works so that part doesn't much matter. Five or six seasons from now when these players start falling apart things will look more realistic.
