Merwin Tolman Retirement

Guys, just a question here. Tolman last season certainly had a high ERA but besides that he was pretty active and did have at least some success. He has A mentoring, he is no that old and has not won a WS. Would I be incorrect in saying that Tolman took his money and retired pretty early for a guy of his type? Any comments?

Had the worse season of his career. Big jump in ERA and Whip along with a drop in IP from the previous season. Being traded also did not help. Still kinda sucks.
